Flood Philly

Praise God for the volunteers who helped us outreach to Philadelphia during Flood Philly 2019, and the children (and adults) who were reached with the good news of Jesus Christ! The Flood Philly mission trip had 15 CEF leaders along with 93 attendees serving to reach hundreds of children in Philadelphia. The group trained together, helped run a block party with Cornerstone Community Church in Kensington, and led 23 “kids clubs” in different parts of Philadelphia throughout the week.

Camp Good News

God has been working through Camp Good News in Newtown, PA and in Telford, PA. We love how camp reaches children by evangelizing and discipling them! Not only does it reach unreached children, but it also helps us to remain connected with the children from school year Good News Clubs. We ran 14 weeks of camp between both of our locations and reached 300+ children. One area that we see the most spiritual growth is in our small groups at camp.

5 Day Clubs

Another summer ministry is our 5 Day Clubs. These clubs take place in community centers, home backyards, daycares, parks, and neighborhoods all over the BucksMontgomery area. A 5 Day Club is similar to a VBS program. Monday through Friday, our team visits the same location and leads a children’s program. This program is filled with songs, snacks, Bible lessons, crafts, and games. We also take time to break up into small groups to share the Gospel with the children in a smaller setting to allow for questions. This summer, we held nine 5 Day Clubs throughout July and August.

Looking Forward To Our Fall Ministry:

Fall ministry has begun with Good News Clubs and iBlast programs! These are our focus programs that engage the spiritual needs of the children in communities all over Bucks and Montgomery Counties. We want to share the Gospel with children in our public schools and invite them to a church in their community so that they may grow in Christ.

Good News Clubs

Recently, we made a map of every public elementary school in Bucks and Montgomery counties. We learned that there are 175 schools in that area! We are blown away by the opportunity we have to reach these children! Our goal is to have a Good News Club outreach in every one of these schools. The task is immense, but we are praying to the Lord that He would supply all our needs. Luke 10:2 says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” We are so grateful for the team God has provided, but we realize this task is beyond us. However, it is not beyond our God! Our vision is to build partnerships with churches, train them to run a Good News Club, then let them continue running the program without us. That way, we can increase our reach to new schools, so that more children can know God!

iBlast

We desire that children not only know the Gospel, but also have the opportunity to grow in their faith. That is the purpose behind iBlast. We currently have five iBlast programs that are held at partnering churches. Children from Good News Clubs are invited to an iBlast near them in the hope that they will attend a church in obedience to Christ.
Our iBlast programs are held this fall on:

Tuesday Evening: Christ Reformed Church
Wednesday Evening: Calvary Chapel Quakertown, and Faith Church at Sellersville,
Thursday Evening: Bucks County Community Church

New Hire!

Please welcome Wintergail Gettmann to our ministry team! Wintergail has been involved in C.E.F. through attending Flood Philly and volunteering at Good News Clubs. She will be joining our team in the position of secretary. We are very excited for her to use her gifts and talents to reach children for the glory of God! Please be in prayer as Wintergail transitions into this new position.

How You Can Help!

Support

If you’re considering donating to Child Evangelism Fellowship, thank you! Donations are the life blood of CEF – we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your support!

PS: If you’re looking to donate to a specific missionary or event, say so in the PayPal “Write a Note” section. It will appear once you choose a payment method. Thank you!

Pray

Prayer is even more important than financial support. If you’re praying for us or one of our missionaries, would you please let us know, and write them a quick note of encouragement?

Please feel free to also use this form to ask us to pledge to pray! If you are a volunteer or missionary with us and would like us to pray over your journey in ministry, we would love to pray for you!

Spread the Word

CEF’s motto is “Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day.” That’s a tall order without your help! We provide the programs, we train the staff, we make the flyers…would you spread the word?

Coming Up: A Flood Philly Christmas is December 6-7th!
Register today to volunteer with us and give a gift to a child in need, or spread the word at your church!
